Research Project Questions
From the research I've done so far, I can answer about four of the eight questions that need to be addressed in my oral presentation. I need help with finding organizations that educate people on this population. I also need help in finding some of the challenges this group faces in mainstream society.

Also, know that you have learned some Google tricks, what are some potential search strings that you can create in order to locate websites about organizations that educate people on this population (or provide support for them)?

I think one challenge of steroid abusing athletes face in mainstream society is just being accepted. Being that steroids are forbidden in almost all, if not all, sport, it is something athletes need to hide from others, often including their families. I'm guessing this could cause relationship problems.
ReplyDeleteIn google 101, I learned about this symbol ~. I think I could try to incorporate that into finding websites that help steroid abusers. Maybe using something like, athletes~ and steroids~?

ReplyDeleteThank you for your response! I am quite sure that steroid abuse could cause relationship problems, as some steroids could cause personality changes. I knew someone who developed an anger management issue while on steroids.
